Davey and I wanted to give the track to Rick Astley, he’s such a great singer – he would have done it proud. For various reasons, that didn’t happen.

I was back home working in my studio in California and Elton rang me and ask me if I would finish off this track, mix it and deliver it to the team in France who were putting together the Sol En Si album to benefit children with Aids. A great track to help a great cause.

I had fun doing this track because, since we had abandoned it, I had to make guitar and keyboard parts out of ruff tracks by Davey and Guy. I also sang all the background vocals. Pure Heaven !
